MCA Segambut Division held a Dermasiswa BAKTI Presentation at SMK(P) Jalan Ipoh on the 3rd October 2009. The Dermasiswa, totaling RM6, 000 per year and sponsored by The Associaton of Wives and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI), is a two years program which offers financial aid to help students from underprivileged families. The Dermasiswa was given out to ten specially selected secondary school students who were able to achieve academic excellence and who also came from underprivileged families. Each of the successful applicants will obtained RM600 respectively for the first year.

Attending the event from MCA Segambut Division were the Chairman Sdr.Ling Hee Keat, Deputy Chairman Sdri. Sr. Lim Yiat Fong, Orgainising Secretary Patrick Loo, Youth Chief Daniel Ling, Wanita Chief Cynthia Leong, and committee members Lionel Ng, Jerry Khoo, Samuel Quek, Steward Loke, Kong Chee Wyne, Ling Learn Siang and the event coordinator, Gillian Low. Also attending the event were the representatives from SMK(P) Jalan Ipoh, Puan Yeong (the councilor) and Puan How (the senior assistant of Co-curriculum) and also the successful students and their families.
